This chilly morning I awoke to find my gas furnace blowing cold air and the temperature was dropping. I remembered the excellent work Tom Morgan did cleaning and repairing my air conditioner a few years ago, so he was the first and only person I called today. He promptly answered his phone and came over in a timely manner to provide diagnostics, cleaning, and repair of my furnace. Tom knows what he is doing. He tells you what he is doing. He is tops with customer service, which is hard to find today. I would highly recommend Tom. Remember to change out your air filter, Tom will say.

HVAC repairman saved the day! waking up to a cold house is concerning, but after talking with tom over the phone my frustrations were calmed instantly! He came right over on a Sunday morning, and explained everything that he was doing. Upon the routine inspection it seemed as though the board was shot, and the replacement would be around 400 dollars! This is were most techs would have left it. Since he has been doing this for so long he knew that this was not a common issue, and wanted to take his diagnosis a little further. Turned out to be a small thermostat issue, that he explained to me how to fix it myself. It’s very hard to find a company with great customer service, and even harder to find customer service and a good price! The little lady is happy, the house is warm, and you have a customer for life! thanks Tom

Service with Integrity I refer them to my customers for heating and air conditioning inspections on homes they are going to purchase or when my clients need a second opinion. They are always honest and once they come in for the second opinion the client won’t go with anyone else. Customers for life is what they want to have and that is what they get!

Fast service, fair prices Earlier this summer our heat pump quit working. We called a Spokane firm, who after 2 visits and $250 told us our condensor was bad. They said a new condensor would be $2-3000, so we should get a new, more efficient heat pump for $10-$15,0000. We didn’t have an extra $10-15000 lying around. My husband spoke to his brother-in-law in Tennessee, who asked if the company had done a specific test on the compressor. He said if they didn’t do that first, they may have shorted it out. Fortunately, we called Tom, the HVAC guy, for a 2nd opinion. The first thing he did was the test the other guys should have done. The compressor was bad. He asked how long we planned to stay in our house. We told him 2 years – he said the payback on a new heat pump would be 10 years, and we would be better off repairing what we had. He ordered the parts and had us fixed in a few days, for SUBSTANTIALLY less than the other firm. Obviously Tom’s clients mean more to him than selling new systems. I will look only to The HVAC guy for all my future heating and cooling needs.

From Our Facebook Page and Cathy Gephart: Tom Morgan of My HVAC Guy rocks. I told him that both our gas fireplace & hotwater heater pilots were out & he said there was a high probability that our meter was frozen up. he came over @ 11pm to check it out, 1/2 thick ice on the meter. Sure enough, he was right. He double checked our valves & helped us get everything running again & we had gas flowing in 15 minutes from when he got here. Cathy

Smoke Filled House

My wife and I were awakened in the night to a strange sound coming from our furnace followed by our room being filled with smoke! After doing a quick web search, I found Tom Morgan and immediately gave him a call. It was after 10pm on a weeknight so I expected to be leaving a message for someone to call back in the morning. To my surprise, Tom answered the phone after only a ring or two and was able to put our minds at ease by explaining the likely cause of our problem. Tom arranged to come out early the next morning and was able to diagnose and fix the problem very expeditiously and at a reasonable cost. Based upon this experience, I would recommend Tom and his services to anyone. It’s obvious he cares about his customers and the quality of his work.

Heat Pump Restored

We were charged $250 by another local company to be told our heat pump was broken. They said labor would be $750 + $1,200 or more for the compressor, and said we should buy a whole new unit for $3-10,000, which was definitely not in the budget. We called Tom and he came out the next workday, did tests the other company… did not do, and quoted us a price almost half of what the other company did. He also asked OUR plans, and said unless we were going to be in the house another 10 years, which we aren’t, we wouldn’t get our money out of a new unit. Long story short, he installed the new compressor this morning, tested it, and my house is considerably cooler tonight. He was fast, professional, and the unit runs quieter now than when it was new. THANK YOU!!
The Only HVAC Guy I Refer

My job is to inspect homes for folks who are looking to purchase them. My livelihood depends upon how well I do my job, and how well the tradespeople I refer do theirs. It’s been proven time and again that Tom (with a helpful occasional boot from Jamie!) looks out for my clients’ best interests. He will replace a part rather than upsell a client to a whole new system, whenever possible. This flies in the face of Big Corporation USA schooling of milking the most out of a potential customer. Tom has also bent his schedule to work with me to accommodate a visiting out-of-town buyer, providing a complete system inspection, analysis and report to the client, on the spot. Tom’s the only HVAC guy I refer; my reputation hinges upon his performance for my clients!

Of course the furnace went out on the week-end!! We had hired Tom before for furnace check-ups and minor repairs, so I got on the phone. He was here in no time and the problem turned out to be minor. The cost was reasonable and that is important to an older couple on a fixed income. We had been overcharged before and felt we may have paid for something we didn’t need. Not with Tom. He cares about his customers and gives 100%.

On one of the coldest day’s last month my furnace decided not to work. It was 12 degrees outside at 6:45am. I called Tom and had a call back within 15 minutes. He put me as a priority on his list due to the nature of my problem and was at my doorstep by 8:30 tools in hand. My furnace needed a new switch, was up and running in no time. Tom really provides a personalized touch to his work, my 100 yr plus old house needed a lot of adjustments to have the heating/cooling system work and he figured it out in a snap and had it all done in just a day! Now it runs effectively and best of all efficiently. I still can’t believe the difference in my Avista bill….It’s a comfort to know that if I ever have an emergency, I can call and he’d be right out to fix any problem, too. Furnace Repair

During one of our wonderful cold spells this winter, our furnace decided to start acting up on us Saturday night. When we woke up Sunday morning and the temp inside the house was in the low 50′s, I gave Tom a call. Tom came out and checked out our furnace. The great thing was that the only problem was some of the tubing left by the furnace installers was too long and that created a water plug in the line that caused the furnace to go on the fritz. Tom shortened up the lines and got the furnace running again in no time without trying to pad his own wallet by making recommendations or repairs that were not need. From now on, Tom is the only person that I will call for my HVAC needs and is the only person that I recommend to others.
A/C Installation
